Late William Halverson "Willie"
Sadly the family announces the passing of William Halverson 94 of Rainy River Ontario on Friday September 9, 2022 at the Rainy River Hospital.
William was born on October 3, 1927 in Tovell Twp to parents Oscar and Greta Halverson.
He worked at numerous jobs over the years but working on the Lake of the Woods William loved best, including operating tug boats, a fishing guide in Nestor Falls for over 20 years and carpentry. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time at the homestead. He will be fondly remembered for his laughter and telling jokes.
He will be greatly missed by his children Garry (Glenda), Rhonda (late Donnie Dobransky), Paul (Kim), Laurie (Grant), Danny (Gwen); his grandchildren Jason, Brian, Jamie, Lynn, Amber, Ashley Joshua, Jacob, Joey, Gionathan, Brayden, Kaylee, Chase, great grandchildren Tre, Porter, Savannah, Lakelyn, Roman, Dawson, Kayden, Jace, Kylie, Nolan, Ellie, Ashley, Kale, Kamryn, Caleb and Noah and numerous nieces and nephews.
William was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Greta, his siblings Selma Kellar, Alice Larson and Selmer Halverson.
As per William’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family interment will take place in Bergland cemetery at a later date.
