Obituary for William Howard "Bill" Faragher
William Howard Faragher, born October 18, 1932 at La Vallee, Ontario passed away on July 10, 2021 while in long-term care at the Rainy River Hospital. He resided there for 3 ½ months and previously had lived in Rainy River, Ontario for 30 years. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Frances (Burnell); sister Myrtle Marshall; daughter Valerie (Miles) Barber and grandsons Terry, Brock and Pierce; sons William and Jeffery; daughters Connie and Jamie Lynn Carlson (Bill); grand-daughter Chelsea (Chris) and great-grandchildren Gage and Peyton and grand-daughter Carrie (Dan) and newest great-grandson Tucker.
He leaves in-laws Marilyn Faragher, Judy Tucker, Carol Burnell, Simon (Lawrence) Rasmussen, Ruth (Norman) Bachinski, Dorothy (Ted) Pott, and Ray (Denise) Burnell. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, too many to name. Several were extremely close to their Uncle Bill and over the years spent time with him going to the movies, fishing, hunting and listening to his many stories.
He was predeceased by his parents Myrtle and Stafford Faragher, brothers Arnold and Garfield, brother-in-law Joe Marshall, nephew Bradley and niece Stacey, and numerous in-laws from the Burnell side of the family.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 15th, at 1:00 pm at Burriss Cemetery, located north of Devlin, Ontario, off highway # 613, on Burriss Road West.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the wonderful, caring staff at Rainy River Hospital.
