Obituary for Warren Zub

Warren Zub
Warren was born New Year's Eve in Winnipeg, Mb; but he admitted to us
that he was "beat by a girl" to be the New Year's baby that year. He
lived a very full life in Fort Frances despite being diagnosed with MS
in his graduating high school year. Warren was being persued by the
Manitoba Bison's Football team to be their kicker - sadly because of his
diagnosis he was not able to fulfill that commitment but he never let
MS stop him there. He went on to graduate high school and then
university.
He found great passion in investing, researching the latest market
trends and best investments. He loved talking with friends and family
about finance & smart investments even if we didn't; Warren wanted
to ensure that he passed along how important it is to invest in our
future and have gainful employment. Working for Canada Employment Centre
for 25 years brought him much fulfillment and suited his natural
helpful personaltiy. He was an active community member sevring on the
Rainy River District School Board, Toastmasters, Kinsmen club, Lion's
Club as well as participated in bowling, curling, slowpitch and
volleyball to name a few.
Warren had an endless amount of empathy and kindness to everyone he
knew. He was known to be quite funny with his "dry sense of humor". Our
family had many great years travelling, at the cabin, attending Blue
Jay's games and he always made sure to point out historical events and
sights to remember.
Our fond memories of Dad, Papa, and Warren live on in us forever and his
kindness and care for all will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his daughter Kerry; son Ryan Zub and Teri; and mother
of his children, Heather; grandchildren Brighton Pollard, Landon and
Adalyn Zub; sister Carol Ewacha; and our adopted family of home support
workers & service providers "the girls".
Warren was predeceased by his parents Mike and Elly Zub; grandparents
Frans and Britta Engstrom and John and Katherine Zub; Aunt and Uncles
Margaret and Glenn Canfield and Doris and Lawrence Calder and brother
Enar Engstrom, El and Mabel Plymate, Alec and Katherine Zub, Eddy and
Jean Zub, Harry and Sally Zub, Roy Zub, Nettie and Bill Galandly; Bradley Plymate.
The honourary pallbearers will be his good friends: Lee Stinson, Ted
Swift "Swifty", Don Barns, Cheech Morelli, John Taylor, and Al Parker.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be planned for the
spring.
