Obituary for Tristin Todd Jack

It is with great sadness that the family of Tristin Todd Jack (Wap-shkan-nii-kwot) announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Tristin passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the age of 31. He leaves behind Dennis Copenace (father) and siblings Nathan Jack (Allison), Stacey Yerxa (Cameron), Amanda Copenace (Derek), Dennis Copenace Jr (Elaine). Aunties Josephine Copenace and Diane Skead (Joe). Uncles Curtis (Bozo) Copenace and Terry Copenace (Jana). Peter Copenace and Cody Copenace are closer cousins/brother. Along with his numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, great uncles and great aunties. He is predeceased by our mother, Karilyn Edale Jack, Lucy Copenace, Fred Copenace, Edith Jack, Fred Jack Sr, Marilyn Jack, Karen Copenace, Lucille Copenace, Raymond Copenace, Tanya Andy, Marylou Copenace and Rose Brown.

Tristin loved being in the great outdoors whether it would be fishing and hunting with family. He loved travelling the world to Thailand, Japan, Los Angelos and numerous parts of the United States. He had many stories on his adventurous life style to share with us all. He had a like for his gaming technology. Getting together with family for holidays. And great love for his nephews and nieces who he all loved tremendously.

A wake service in memory of Tristin will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 4:00 PM at the Big Grassy Community Hall. The traditional Sun Dance ceremony service will be on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The elder officiating is Lawerence Henry of Roseau River, Manitoba. Interment will follow in the Big Grassy River burial grounds.
