Obituary for Theresa Darlene Linklater

(Theresa) Darlene Linklater, 63, passed away at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in Thunder Bay, ON on Tuesday, November, 19. 2019.
She was born and raised in Fort Frances, Ont. on November 18, 1956 to Eva and Henry Linklater She later moved to Couchiching First Nation and then to Winnipeg, raising her family there. She moved back to Fort Frances for a time before settling in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
She was a loved by her family, a strong and independent woman, and always put her family first. She enjoyed reading novels of all sorts; romance, suspense, Bingo, and visiting with her family and friends.
Darlene was predeceased by her parents; sister Mavis in 1984, twin sister Arlene in 2004, and brother Ken in 2006; Grand Daughter Sophia in 2013, Aunties and Uncles; Martha, Agnes, Madeline, Leo, Eddie, Bill, and Roger.
She leaves behind her children, Bill Linklater of Edmonton AB., Raven Linklater (Real Arsenault), Stacey Manning, Amy Manning, Tom Manning (Star Meekis), and Leo Manning (Nadine Sinoway) all of Thunder Bay, ON.; 16 grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sisters, Evelyn Nelson, Judy Morrison and Lorna Cochrane, Aunt Mary Ellen Martin, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous other extended family members.
A wake will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, 4 p.m at Rainy River First Nations gymnasium.
A traditional funeral service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019, 12:00 noon with Elder Charlie Nelson officiating.
Interment took place at the traditional burial grounds at Rainy River First Nations.
A memorial service will be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario at a later date.
