Obituary for Tena Lundgren
On Friday January 17th Tena Lundgren with her family by her side went to be with the Lord.
Tena was born in the Netherlands on August 4th 1926 to Sijske and Sjoerd helder . At the age of one she moved to Canada and homesteaded in Bergland, Tena helped her family on the farm and went to school in Bergland. She met and married Ted Lundgren in 1946. Raising their six children and also fostering other children as well for several years.
Once her children were all of school age she worked outside the home mostly at Mylies Place Resort in Morson spotlessly cleaning the cabins. Tena found enjoyment in gardening,canning,knitting,needlepoint,and picking blueberries.
She was involved in Ladies Aid and weekly Bible study. Mostly Tena enjoyed being at home tending to her family. Predeceased by her father and mother ,her husband Ted of 67 years siblings Jane,Grace, Verna,Johnny,Gerben,Sam and Ulke. Also her daughter Joan Pentney, grandson Clayton Lundgren and son-in-law Alan Meline.
Tena is survived by her sister Rena Helder, her children Billy(Nancy) Lundgren, James(Wanda)Lundgren, Sandra Meline, son-in-law Henry Pentney, Fern(Buck) Holland and Barry Lundgren. Along with 16 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. This earth was blessed with Tena's presence for 93 years. Heaven will be blessed with her presence forever.
Funeral services will take place in the spring with date to be announced. Interment will follow in Bergland Cemetery.
