Obituary for Tanya Rae Maki

The family of Tanya Rae Maki announce her peaceful passing on June 4, 2022, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Tanya was born in Fort Frances, Ontario on December 19, 1992, to Raymond and Sadie Maki.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Sadie Maki, her sisters Tiffany, Tammy, Vanessa, Chris, Rose, Laura, Barbara and her brothers Russel, Ricky, Wayne and Robert. She also had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was predeceased by, father, Raymond Maki, her partner Garrick Andrechuk, her brother Ryan Keeash, her uncles Sulo Maki, Tom Keeash, Magnus Keeash, Nelson Keeash and Alpheius Keeash and her Aunty Millie Maki and grandparents Sulo and Maria Keeash and Matt and Hilma Maki.

Tanya worked at Musslewhite Mine for the past 6 years as the Laundry Specialist, she loved her job and loved working closely with her coworkers.
Tanya loved the outdoors no matter what she was doing. She loved being silly with family and friends and spending time with her loved ones. She always loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews whenever she could get the chance.

A service of remembrance will be held to celebrate Tanya’s life on June 14th, 2022 at 11 a.m. from Northridge Funeral Home, Emo, ON.

Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, North Branch following the service and luncheon.

As per Tanya’s wishes donations may be made to Sister Margaret Smith Centre in Thunder Bay by cheque, c/o Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Box 89, Emo, ON P0W 1E0.
