Obituary for Ronald Stewart Sikkema

Ron Sikkema passed away on Friday November 6, 2020 at the age of 55. He courageously battled lymphoma and melanoma. Ron is the beloved husband of Christine (nee Kaemingh) Sikkema and loving father of Justin, Tyler, Ben, and Luke Sikkema. Ron’s comfort in life and in death is that he is not his own, but belongs body and soul to his faithful Savior Jesus Christ. Ron was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba at the age of 22 and devoted his career to Procter & Gamble for 33 years. He worked in Canada, Geneva, Switzerland and in the United States. Ron loved his wife of 28 years, 4 precious sons and entire family very much. He was a much loved “Uncle Ron”. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and walking. He loved to read and converse about meaningful topics. Ron especially loved to be at “the lake” in Canada. He was committed to his church life and small group, believing in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

Ron is the beloved son of Jenny Sikkema and the late Stewart Sikkema. Brother of Jayne (John) Siepman, Ruth (Jim) Malda, Yvonne (Arnold) Kamerman, and the late Stewart Ronald Sikkema. Brother-in-law of Arnold (Carol) Kaemingh, Dale (Kathy) Kaemingh, David (Kristine) Kaemingh, Karen (Paul) Koomans, and Theodore (Patricia) Kaemingh. Uncle of Jennifer (Chris), Ryan, Shawn (Katelyn), Kristine, Benjamin (Alyse), James, Rachel, Colin, Kyle, Aleah, Jenna (Mike), James (Holly), Kaylene (Dan), Colin (Emma), Cole (Colleen), Tanner (Stevie-Lee), Teagan (Brian), Megan, Derek, Janelle, Zachary (Brittany), Lucas (Alyssa), Caleb, Katrina, Dawson, Julia, Lauren, Ava, and Bradley. Grand uncle to 19 grand nieces and nephews. Ron is loved also by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We will all miss you Ron. We love you Ron. We love you dad. We love you so much.

Family and friends will be received from 5:30-8 PM on Friday, November 13 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 14 at Montgomery Community Church, 11251 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249. A Live Stream will begin at 12:45 PM on Saturday.
