Obituary for Ronald Cornelius Fehr

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Ronald Cornelius Fehr on July 29, 2022.
Ron was born to parents David and Helena Fehr on July 14, 1952 in Altona, MB and was the youngest of 5 children.
His career as a long-haul trucker spanned more than 50 years and he enjoyed most of it, both as an employer and an employee. During his travels coast to coast in Canada and the United States, he met many people and considered most a friend whether he knew them a short time or a life time.
Ron was a soft-spoken gentle giant of a man always willing to lend a helping hand. When you got a hug from him, which most people did, you knew you had been hugged! In his spare time he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, tinkering with wood working projects and driving his classic car. The past few years he learned to enjoy a few tropical vacations and time at the lake, some of it actually relaxing.
Ron will be forever missed by his partner, Kathy Treflin, daughter Tamara (James) Watson-Burgess, son Chad (Kat) Fehr, son Craig (Jennifer) Fehr, Tracy (Travis) Rob, Bryan (Sara) Treflin and their famiies. Sisters Elma Dillard and Carol Zacharias, brother Ray (Anne) Fehr, sister-in-law Judy Fehr, many nieces and nephews and his trucking buddy Finn.
Ron was predeceased by his parents David and Helena Fehr, brother Jac Fehr, brothers-in-law Don Dillard and Don Zacharias and granddaughter Isabel Watson-Burgess.
A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date with interment in Riverview Cemetery.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque to Riverside Health Care Facility (Chemotherapy Unit), c/o of Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Box 89, Emo, ON P0W 1E0.
