Obituary for Robert Adrian "Bob" Gosselin

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Adrian Gosselin announce his passing on Sunday February 21, 2021. Bob passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Bob was born April 24, 1942 in Fort Frances, Ontario to Fred and Bess Gosselin. He grew up in Fort Frances where he met Pat McTavish and they were married August 25, 1962. They stayed and worked in Fort Frances until 1969 when he moved his family to Atikokan, Ontario. Bob worked at Steep Rock Iron Mine until it closed in 1979. He then did a variety of trucking jobs until he started working on the pipeline in 1984. Bob worked pipeline from Ontario to BC until his retirement in 2004. Bob was active in the community for his entire life. He played baseball and hockey and coached both in his younger days. Bob was also a volunteer ambulance attendant for many years and served as a Town of Atikokan Councillor for 8 years.

Bob will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Pat, of 58 years. He will also be missed by his children Lorraine (Rob), Bob Jr. (Terri), Larry (Marcia), and Linnette. Bob had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren Kelsey, Janelle, Jessica, Shanna, Alexandria, Malarrie, Autumn, Payton, Sarena, Ethan and Marissa. As well as his great grandchildren Kaylyn and Lucas. He will also be missed by his siblings Fred (Evie), Elaine, Joyce (Jim), Keith (Joanne), and in-laws Joan, Flora, Shirley ,Allan (Lorraine), Evelyn (Fred), Stella (Don), Gail, Bob (Karen), Ron (Charlene), Doug (Patti), and countless nieces and nephews.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Fred and Bess Gosselin, and his parents-in-law Jack and Leah McTavish. Also siblings Ken (Elsie), Laura (Eric) McConnell, Doug Bone and Don (Shannon) McTavish, Ken McTavish, Jim McTavish, Bob Richardson, Harold Atkins and Ed McTavish.

Cremation has taken place, and due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be no service.
