Margaret (Peggy) Mary Miniely
Peggy Miniely age 96 of Rainy River Ontario passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at the Rainy River Hospital.
Peggy was born in St. Boniface MB on March 6, 1922 to parents Robert and Minnie Leeson. Peggy spent many years working as a registered nurse mostly in the hospital in Rainy River.
Peggy and Buzz Miniely were united in marriage on July 14, 1949. They were married for 65 years.
Peggy loved crafts, sewing, curling, traveling and most of all going to their cabin on Lake of the Woods. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Diane and Jo (Dave) Lawrence and her grandchildren Michelle and Matt Lawrence.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Buzz (2014), sons Ross and Fredrick, parents Robert and Minnie, brother Bob, sister in law Muriel and nephews Bob and Mark Leeson. Brothers in laws Gordon and Floyd Miniely, sisters in laws Lois and Norma Miniely.
A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Monday December 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Rainy River Knox United Church with Rev Frances Flook officiating.
Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
