Late Louis Kirkrude
Sadly the family announce the passing of Louis Kirkrude 75 of Big Island First Nation on Saturday October 17, 2020 at his residence.
Louis was born on September 15, 1945 to parents George Sr. and Ruth Kirkrude.
He enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, logging and worked for numerous contractors over the years and retired as a maintence worker at Big Island First Nation.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lollie, his grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Casandra, Brenden, Rashel, Colton, and 10 great grandchildren. Louis is also survived by his siblings Bella Andy, George Jr. Kirkrude, Lorraine Kirkrude and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louis was predeceased by his parents George and Ruth, his children Patricia, Sandra and Louis Jr, and his siblings Agnes George, Martha Blight, Georgina Kirkrude and Brian Kirkrude.
A traditional service will be held on Wednesday October 21, 2020, 10 a.m. from the Big Island First Nation Round House followed by cremation. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery Rainy River at a later date.
