The Hunter family is profoundly saddened to announce the passing of our mom, sister, niece, and friend and her final journey into the spirit-world after a brief illness. She passed away at hospital in Sudbury, Ontario on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Leah was born on June 30, 1982 to Eleanor Faye Hunter in Fort Frances, Ontario. She was raised in Manitou Rapids with lots of family and cousins around her. She was especially close to her grandpa and grandma Hunter and spent many weekends growing up travelling to powwows far and wide with grandpa and grandma, her mom and her family. Leah was raised around all her many cousins whom are also like siblings to one another. Growing up was lots of fun and life was filled with times spent with family. We will deeply miss her. She was funny, had a great sense of humour and there was always lots of silly laughter with her around.
