Laura Fedorak

She was loved by many! Hearts heavy with sadness, that the family of Laura Fedorak announces her passing on Wednesday June 3/2020, at the age of 75 years old . Mom was surrounded by her family at her home.

Laura was born on September 12/1944 to Margaret (Carmody) & Joe Stevens.
Laura was placed with Ewart and Hazel Wilson. At the age of 15 , the Wilson’s adopted her . Mom loved her dad and spoke of him often . Mom grew up in the central area of fort Frances. Mom had many childhood friends around the neighbourhood. She remained friends with many over the years. Mom did a paper route for many years as a young child on many cold nights along with her dog always. That dog was so well trained and faithful to mom.

Laura married Andy Fedorak on May 3, 1968. They would have been married for 52 years.

Mom worked at White’s Motel for 10 years, and at various Camps and Lodges. She also cleaned several homes and businesses. She loved picking blueberries during the summer and pine cones the rest of the year. She was a hard worker and excellent cleaner. She also did babysitting for family and neighbours.

Mom loved to spoil her family with baked goods, such as homemade apple pie, her famous lasagna, potato salad, heavenly hash, pierogis, tarts, bran muffins and cabbage rolls.

Her door was always open for friends and family. She was the heart and rock of our family. She will be forever loved and missed by so many. She touched so many lives. The coffee was always hot and fresh. The candy dish always full of mints. She never missed a birthday or an anniversary. The table always full of goodies. Mom enjoyed watching Billy Graham programs . Mom liked doing her crossword puzzles and liked watching Judge Judy. Mom also loved the casino . Mom always made you feel loved no matter what .

Laura was the kindest, most sincere down to earth, giving woman we’ve ever known. She gave more than she ever received. She appreciated the little things in life.

Mom suffered a long and courageous battle with stage 4 cancer right till the end. One very strong and brave woman, God be with her.

Without a doubt mom is living in a little log cabin on the edge of the lake, rocking in her chair on the front porch with Sooner, Trixie, and Tilly, entertaining her long lost family and friends with fresh coffee, home baked goods and lots of laughter.
