Joy-Marie Lucille "Pookie Bear" Khober (Frenette)

The family of Joy-Marie Khober (Frenette) sadly announce her passing on August 24, 2022 at her home in Atikokan.
Joy was born in Red Lake, Ontario to Lucille Frenette and Jerry Chester.
She lived the majority of her life in Atikokan. Her family lovingly nicknamed her “Pookie Bear”.
She loved all her stuffed animals. She had many of them and each one had a story on how she got them or who they came from.
Joy was predeceased by her mother Lucille, on April 26, 2016 and husband Alexander Khober who passed away January 17, 2014.
Left to mourn her passing are her brother Ryan Chester (sister-in-law Samantha Lafreniere) and nephew Nolan Lafreniere, and brother Andrew Frenette and nieces Leia & Luanna Frenette of Williams Lake, B.C.

A celebration of Joy-Marie's life will be held at the Atikokan Royal Canadian Legion on October 6, 2022 at 11:00am. .
