Late Sherri Jeanne Hartnell
Sadly the family announces the passing of Jeanne Hartnell ,81 of Rainy River, Ontario on Saturday November 12, 2022 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.
Jeanne was born January 27, 1941 in Fort Frances, one of 13 children born to John and Nettie Hubert.
Jeanne was united in marriage to Walter Hartnell and they settled in Rainy River where they raised their two children Wally and Mary. Jeanne was an accomplished writer, and was very proud of publishing three books, composed of poetry and stories. She enjoyed gardening and was a valued member of the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church.
Jeanne is survived by her children Wally and Mary, her grandchildren Stephen and Jessica, and numerous extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband Walter.
A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Saturday November 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church, with Pastor Ben Mast officiating. Interment will take place in Blue Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Jamie Hartnell, Duane Tausendfrende, Carl Peters, Ryan Grant, Darryl Dyck, Bob Johnson. Honorary Pall Bearers will be all of Jeanne’s family and friends.
