Harry Owen Lawrence
The family of Harry Owen Lawrence is saddened to announce his passing on
January 12, 2023 with his family by his side.
Harry was born on May 16, 1952 to parents Harry William Lawrence and
Dorothy Marguerite McKay in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
He spent much of his adult life driving Semi-trucks, working underground
Gold mining, and in the logging industry. He was most proud of becoming a
Security Officer later in life.
He loved to fish, hunt and revive old tools.
He had many health challenges, but that did not hold him back or impact his
upbeat personality or affect his positive outlook. Harry was a very
generous and kind man, always willing to help.
Harry is survived by Dorothy Anderson (nee Lawrence) (Terry) of Pinewood,
Hector Lawrence of Victoria B.C , Donna Greaves (nee Lawrence) (Peter) of
Victoria B.C. and Gerald Anderson (Brother in law) of Pinewood, ON.
Also survived by Nieces; Sherry Wildbore of Thunder Bay, ON and nephew
David Wildbore (Sabrina) of College Grant, Nova Scotia and Tammey Crnkovich
(Eddy) of Thunder Bay, all of whom he thought of as his own children and
helped with their up bringing and care. He loved them all dearly as well as
his loving and devoted sister Dorothy. Where you found one, you found the
other all of their lives.
He was cared for at home by his devoted sister Dorothy and niece Tammey
Crnkovich/Eddy with nursing care around the clock.
Harry passed in Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with family by his side.
Special Thank You to Dr. Bezanson for his care and compassion for Harry and
family. Also special thanks to Dan Wall who was a very good and loyal
