Obituary for Gerald Bullied

Gerald Edwin Bullied - September 29, 1934 to December 29, 2021

Suddenly on December 29, 2021, we lost our dad, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.
Dad was born on September 29, 1934 to Lawrence Floyd Bullied and Alvina Elizabeth Bullied.

Dad married the love of his life, Loraine Brigden and spend 53 wonderful years with her before losing her in 2009.

Dad was predeceased by his wife, Loraine and son Larry, his parents Floyd and Elizabeth Bullied, brother Elwood, sister Reta and brother-in-law Fred Topham, twin brother, Eugene and sister-in-law Marvel Bullied and granddaughter Holly Olson.

Gerald is survived by his children Colleen (Toby) Vennechenko, Gerry Ann (Garry) Olson, Mary Ellen (Bruce) Brigham, Patty (Brent) Bullied and son, Blane Bullied, grandchildren, Mark (Jill) Vennechenko, Amanda (Jeridt) Barnard, Kristina Olson, Nathan (Cassie) Brigham, Ryan Brigham (Jess), Shelby and Charlene Kellar, great grandchildren Jonathan Holborn, Autumn Smeeth, Laila Barnard, Jovie and Beau Vennechenko, Tenley Barnard, Serenity Mainville, Briar and Maisyn Brigham, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our dad was a hardworking man who enjoyed his life on the farm he was born on. Dad started working at an early age when he received a contract to cut wood for his school. Dad worked many jobs from driving truck for Norlund’s, to cutting wood in the bush, to working with Len Hettinga and working at the Ontario Clear Water until his retirement at the age of 63.
But Dad’s proudest job was the family farm where he and mom worked side by side for 53 years. Dad enjoyed raising his animals until he retired from farming a few years ago. Dad loved his Percheron mares that he raised from foals, to participating in the Emo Fair, to working them on the farm and the family sleigh rides.
Dad enjoyed his card games and could be found playing 500 whenever he had the opportunity and to teaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren crib. Dad also enjoyed dancing and many times could be found at the Saturday Night dances at the Emo Legion.

As per Dad’s request, there will be no service.
