Francis Charles Brigham
April 1, 1947 to December 2, 2022

It is with deep sadness that the family of Francis Charles Brigham announce his passing at the age of 75 on Friday, December 2, 2022 with his family by his side.
Fran was born April 1, 1947 in Belgium and later moved to Emo, ON in 1952 to the family homestead.
Years later he met Linda, the love of his life and they were united in marriage on May 22, 1971 resulting in two beautiful children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dad was a very hard-working man and was very proud of his time working in the bush for local contractors. His career took him from Atikokan all the way to British Columbia. Fran also had a passion for taxidermy taking his hobby into a business which became ”Fran’s Taxidermy”. He was also a long-standing member with the local Independent Order of Oddfellows holding many positions through the years. Fran especially enjoyed his time in the Oddfellows food booth at the Emo Fall Fair and the Fort Frances July 1 celebrations serving their famous “Odd Dogs”!
Fran had a great love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and later shared this love with his grandson, Cole. He cherished spending time with his family going to birthday parties, hockey games and holiday gatherings. Dad’s love for country music was evident as Waylon, Willie and George were always close by playing in the background.
Once dad became a great grandfather her created a very special bond with Kenslee Jordan as they spent endless hours together…she will always be Grampa’s little girl!
Dad will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Linda, of 51 years and his children Darryl (Anna) Brigham, Leeanne (Luc) Quesnel; grandchildren Cole (Danielle) Quesnel, Joshua (and special friend Mercedes) Quesnel and Jesse Quesnel, Jeremy and Julia Brigham and great grandchildren Jameer, Dominic and Kenslee Jordan. He is also survived by his siblings Maggie (August) Olson, Andy (Dawn) Brigham, Nellie Ewen, Glen Brigham, Bruce (Maryellen) Brigham, brother in-law Gerry Lougheed along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Milfred and Mary-Lou Brigham, sister Laura Lougheed, mother in-law and father in-law Peter and Phyllis Bedard and sister in-laws Marilyn Romyn and Kari Brigham.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, ON. Pallbearers will be all of Dad’s grandchildren and great grandchildren. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Canada or Riverside Health Care Facilities Inc.
