Obituary for Diane Myrtle Hodge (Sinclair)

The family of Diane (Sinclair) Hodge – Oster are deeply saddened to announce her sudden loss to a quick battle to cancer December 31, 2022. As to her wishes, Diane was able to pass peacefully at the home of her daughter and son in law, with them by her side. Born July 16, 1947 in Fort Frances Ontario to John & Alvina (Perreault) Sinclair. She talked of fond memories of her childhood in the Nestor Falls and Fort Frances area. Diane had two children, daughter Cindy (Hodge) Manty and son Frank Nastiuk. Diane was predeceased by Frank, a loss her heart never healed from. She was also predeceased by her brother Bill Sinclair, sisters Joyce Hope & Lorna Selman and so many other loved ones. .
Diane was born to be a Grams, Grambow, Gigi, Mom, and Auntie. She loved to try to spoil all her babies (no matter the age) the best she could. You always knew that a hug, food, iced tea and stories were always just a visit or phone call away. Her hobby if you asked would be her TV Bingo, casino trips, time on or near the water. Most of all she loved visits with family and friends. When she was not doing that, she was reading. A book a day was a regular when she was into a good one.
Diane had various jobs over the years but she loved her days of working at camps. When it was time to give that up, she changed paths and got a job she really enjoyed and gave her considerable pride was with Com Care. It was one she talked about until her final days.
This beautiful lady is so dearly missed by her family, daughter Cindy (Hodge) Ken Manty, grandchildren Zac Manty (HannahMarcotte), Samantha Manty (Ben Morelli), Meranda Galusha. Great-grandchildren Hallee and Cameron Busch, her brother Wayne Sinclair along with so many other family and friends. .
