Obituary for Carol Ann Elliott
Family and friends are saddened and shocked at the death of our exceptional Mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Carol Ann Burtt Elliott Daughter of Edwin and Laura Burtt.
Born in Upper Hainesville NB April 25 1946.
Carol had a heart of gold full of love she shared with all around her. Her hugs were like no other. I think the word fun and laughter was invented when she was born The laughter has been passed down to her family and friends.
To remember her fills our hearts and eyes with tears yet warms us with the memories that will keep her forever in our hearts. She will not stay in our memories but in our every day lives. Carol you will never die but live forever in us.
Carol lived the last 30 years in a beautiful little place called Atikokan west of Thunder Bay Ont where she worked as a cook at the White Otter Castle. There she met many friends including her partner Denis Duhamel a gentle giant They traveled, fished, enjoyed the outdoors and built a home for themselves. When you went to visit, the red carpet was rolled out for you. They were best friends. Here she gained an extended family who she loved dearly. They lived a quiet and loving life. Carol cooked many meals, bottled moose and deer meat, cooked meat pies and so much more.
She is survived by the light of her life, partner Denis, son Derrick Elliott (Karen), daughter Laurie Elliott Marr (Daren) their children and grand grandchildren. Sheri (Alex ) son, Weston Lenny, sons Jaxon and Liam Brittney & Tyler & kids Andrew, Eli and Eden. Father of her children who she never stopped loving and caring about, Donald (Sonny) . Sisters Patsy Myshrall (Allan) Bonita Desroches late Gene and might I say the baby of the clan Debbie -Bug (Bev) many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly
Extended family Monique Duhamel (widow of Dwight Jansen) partner David Lind, sons Benjamin Duhamel (wife Sascha, daughter Rory) Jesse Jansen (wife Joanne son Noah) Joshua Jansen (wife Stephanie daughters Vida and Reya) and Sam Jansen.
She has joined the Heaven circle with Dad, Mom, brother Wayne (Carolyn) and Son in law Leonard.
