Obituary for Betty Jewell (Couch)
Sadly the family announces the passing of Betty Jean Jewell , 91 of Fort Frances Ontario on Sunday June 19, 2022 at the La Verendrye Hospital Fort Frances, Ontario.
Betty was born April 10, 1931 in Thunder Bay, Ontario to parents Robert and Alice Couch.
She was married to the late Tony Massaro Sr. and together they had three children, Ron (Carol), Gordon (Jessica), Linda, and Tony Jr. (Lou).
In October 10, 1969 Betty married Allan Jewell and together they had two children Joanne, and George (Michelle).
Betty is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sister in laws Florence (late Alfred) Bennell, Sharon (Ross) McGregor, brother in law Bunny Massaro, and special nephews Mark and Paul Marostica.
Betty was predeceased by Sisters Rose (Guido”Mars”) Marostica, and Ada (Oke) Ketonen and only brother Stuart (Margaret).
Betty and Allan were RV travellers, making many trips to music shows, Nascar races and winter trips to Florida, Arizona and Texas. Texas was their favorite and they spent a number of winters.
In accordance with Betty's wishes cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place in Emo Cemetery on August 10, 2022.
