Obituary for Barry Lance Lundgren

Barry Lance Lundgren August 24, 1962-May 19, 2020

On August 24th 1962, Barry Lance Lundgren was the 6th child born to Tena and Ted Lundgren.

Barry lived in Bergland the majority of his life, he lived a simple life and wasn’t about wealth or fancy anything, content with food in his cupboard and a roof over his head to keep him dry and warm, that was good enough for him.

Barry was very handy with different trades mostly if not all he learned from his dad Ted, whom he completely admired. Carpentry, plumbing and electrical work to name a few. He also did some logging over the years.

Barry enjoyed playing as well as watching hockey, baseball and curling. And of course not to forget the joy of fishing when he had an opportunity.
Barry also enjoyed being with his friends and as much as he enjoyed them he also enjoyed his solitude, I guess you could say he enjoyed his own company.

In the last couple years his health was deteriorating and sadly his poor health took him from us. He was only 57. To a child that sounds old, to us he was our younger brother.

Barry was predeceased by his father Ted Lundgren his mother Tena Lundgren, sister Joan Pentney, nephew Clayton Lundgren, and his brother-in-law Alan Meline.

He leaves behind his son Kyle Jewett, his grandchildren Sebastian and Rosalie Jewett. Also his brothers Billy (Nancy) Lundgren, James (Wanda) Lundgren and his sisters Sandra Meline and Fern (Buck) Holland, along with many nieces and nephews.

Private interment will take place in Bergland Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be :Jamie Lundgren, Rob Gate, Marty Nordin, Dean Gate, Jazz Comegan, Chris Jack, Henry Pentney, Blaine Jewett.

If desired memorial donations may be made in Barry's memory to the Rainy River Hospital by cheque, c/o Northridge Funeral Home Box 89, Emo, Ontario, P0W 1E0.
