Arnold Irvine

The family of Arnold Elton Irvine, announce his passing on March 24, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born on April 11, 1939 at the family residence in Mather Township North of Emo, near Finland. He was the youngest son of Roy and Alva (Moulton) Irvine who lived with him for several years. His parents were most important to him.
Arnold attended school at Mather #3 and #9 and the Finland Consolidated School of Potts Towship up until June 1955. In the fall of that year he attended Fort Frances High School until his graduation in 1960 from business education. In 1961 he was hired by Denis DeGagne, as bookkeeper for DeGagne Bros. Ltd. The John Deere dealership in Emo, which later became DeGagne Equipment Ltd. Where he worked until October 1983.
In 1962 he started building his home on his parents property and has lived there ever since. He liked working around the yard at home. Other hobbies were working on family history.
He was predeceased by his parents Roy on June 4, 1996 at 93 and Alva on November 18, 2007 at 91. He was very close to his parents and loved them very much, they lived in the same home, shared many holidays together across Canada, and went to many meetings and conventions together through the years, precious times!! He is also predeceased by Aunts and Uncles on his fathers side and on his mother’s side and cousins on both sides of the family. He really enjoyed visiting with his many cousins.
Survived by his only sibling and brother Ron and his late wife Carol Irvine (2009) of Emo, and two nieces (1) Debbie (Irvine) and late husband Mike Mulholland of Windsor, (2) Evelyn Irvine of B.C. One Grand niece Jennifer (Gagne) and her husband Justin Cadarette and daughters, Gwynn, Meghan, Camryn, and son Spencer Cadarette of Windsor, Ontario and one Grand Nephew, Joel Gagne and his son Jaxson of B.C. Also two grand nieces, Starlyn and Teressa Irvine and grandnephew, Christopher Roy Irvine, Evelyn’s children.
He is survived by two step great nephews, Scott Mulholland of Windsor and Jonathan Mulholland of Petawawa, Ontario.
There will be no funeral service, with interment in the family plot beside parents in Barwick Cemetery on Barwick Road.
