Rhonda Shirley Phillips (nee Bernst)

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rhonda Phillips 68 of Rainy River Ontario on Saturday November 3, 2018 at the Rainy River Hospital. Rhonda was born August 20, 1950 in Thunder Bay Ontario to parents Harry and Shirley Bernst.

She was united in marriage to Harvey Phillips on September 2, 1988 and together they settled in Dryden and later moved to Rainy River. She loved to play cards and games and spending time at the casino.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Harvey of Rainy River, her children Robin (Christina) of Ruthven, Ontario, Jason (Jennifer) of Ear Falls, ON, and her grandchildren Megan, Danielle, Makenzy and Kaitlyn. Rhonda is also survived by her siblings Chris (Brian), Judy (Reg) Debbie, her extended family Garry (Glenda), Rhonda, Paul (Kim), Laurie (John), Danny (Gwen) and their families.

Rhonda was predeceased by her parents Harry (Shirley) Bernst, step mother Alice (Halverson) Bernst and grandson Tristen.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Friday November 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the Rainy River Knox United Church, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
