Rick Kearney passed away, with his sisters by his side, on November 4, 2018 after a short and very aggressive battle with cancer.
Rick was born in Rainy River on April 15, 1962 and chose to stay in the community for most of his life. He was a quiet and humble man who was happy to live a simple life. He worked as a labourer and delivery person over the years and enjoyed meeting people throughout the area and helping to build their dreams. Being a man of action more than words, he spent his time quietly supporting and caring for the people he loved. You could always count on him if you needed a hand to fix something, a walk home on a dark night to feel safe or a quick one liner to make you smile. He truly was a kind and gentle soul. His greatest joys came from sharing times with family and friends, the laughter of children and caring for animals.

He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Mary Kearney, his sister Linda Lambert and brother Larry Kearney. Rick will be forever missed by sisters Karen Andrews, Betty Godin and Tammy DeAmicis and their families.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 11 a.m at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
