Eva Jenny ( Bennell) McClain

Eva Jenny ( Bennell) McClain passed away on September 13, 2018 at the age of 93 at La Verendrye hospital.. Eva was born October 27, 1924 in the Township of Kingsford,Ontario where she grew up as a little girl playing with her four sisters and two brothers.. She married Gordon McClain in Emo, Ontario in 1942.. They resided in BlackHawk, Ontario where they raised their three children. Eva was a farmer -logger wife and loved to knit, crochet and sew.. She also loved to make homemade bread. In 2012 Eva moved from her home in BlackHawk to the Golden Age Manor in Emo, Ontario. But she still continued to keep up her crocheting, knitting and would make mittens, hats and socks for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also continued to make the occasional homemade bread..
Eva is survived by her son Alvin (Carol) McClain of Emo,Ontario, daughter Marlene (John) Hagen of Atikokan, Ontario , daughter-in-law Shirley McClain of Emo,Ontario, sister Violet Strom of Emo, Ontario and sister-in-law Florence Bennell of Winnipeg,MB
Also included 7 grandchildren Kendall (Lisa), Jeff (Liz), ShirLynn (Chuck), Tracy, Wendy (Chad), Lisa (Lynn), Dennis (Monique) and 10 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eva is predeceased by her husband Gordon, son Allan, sisters Hazel, Olive and Bertha, brothers Alfred and Cliff Bennell, parents William and Margaret Bennell and in-laws Garret and Clara McClain...
Funeral services will be held at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo,Ontario
On September 21, 2018. @11am..
